Terrible customer service

Apparently with Check Smart, it does you no good to make payment arranges with the store, because the Corporate Office says they don't operate on the same system, so they deposit your check anyway.
I fell on hard times and couldn't make my payment on the date I was scheduled to pay, so I called the store and told them I would pay it the following week. Of course, they told me that was fine, then deposited the check anyway, causing my bank account to go negative and accrue a large amount of fees.
The people in the corporate office are rude and do not care about their customers at all. Don't get me wrong, I know they are a business. But at what point does CUSTOMER SERVICE and CUSTOMER SATIFACTION get thrown out the window.

Check Smart uses Nazi tactics-Terrible Business practices

I was a customer in good standing with Checksmart for over a year. I paid them well over triple (in interest only) over the course of a year. I wasnt doing too well with my job so I could only pay the interest on the loan. I was happy with them at first because although they say one must pay off the loan in full after every 3rd extention, they constantly waived this and allowed me to pay interest only. Of course, this is good for them too since it keeps them reaping 17.50 cents on every hundred every couple of weeks. After an entire year I was finally advised by a financial adviser to try to freeze the payment and get them to negotiate with me. This was IMPOSSIBLE as they REFUSE to negotiate. They began calling my home every hour or so. They called from the Phoenix office, they called from the corporate office and they called from an automated center as well. No matter how many times I spoke with them and said the same thing trying to negotiate they continued to refuse and to re-call. And although I always took their calls they began to call my references. Once I spoke with them at 10:05 am and then called my friend (reference) 5 minutes later as if they had never spoke to me. My friend finally filed a police report for harassment and then the calls stopped. THIS BUSINESS IS TERRIBLE. GO TO ANY OTHER PAYDAY LOAN PLACE OTHER THAN THIS. I paid them $140 dollar payment every month on a 400 dollar loan for almost 1 yr!!!!! That was interest only. They made 1800 dollars off of me on a 400 dollar loan and treated me like ABSOLUTE CRAP when I tried to renegotiate. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND PASS ON THIS GOD- AWFUL COMPANY. BAD COMPANY NEVER USE THIS ONE!!

I dont recommend this company to anyone. I've been a excellent customer for a year. I always paid them of within 30days. I got behind for 1 month so I called the corporate office to see what I needed to do. I talked with a nice lady Mary Ann and she set me up with the Rapid program and I thought everything was fine. I made my payment ontime and the next thing my acct went into default status??? I made my payment over the phone on a weekend.According to them they cannot do any business on the weekend and it didnt get posted until that Monday. A few days later I get a call from corporate office stating my payment is not posted and they can't find it??So a gentlemen Vince decided to place a EFT fund from my banking acct 500 dollars the same week. No work = no loan from Check Smart

If you don't actively have a job at the time of applying for the payday loan, You wont be able to get one with this company. No matter what, they make no exceptions.
